Hailing from Indonesia, Chef Yudi Makassau brings a masterful touch to traditional sushi techniques, which he has perfected over the past two years. His culinary journey includes prestigious stints at world-renowned establishments like Nobu Miami and Mandrake Rooftop. Most recently, Chef Yudi designed and curated the tasting menu for Dozo, a celebrated omakase concept within Tender Mercy bar in Dayton, Ohio.With a deep respect for traditional Japanese flavors, Chef Yudi fuses them with modern elements to deliver a refined and dynamic fine-dining experience. His dishes not only honor the timeless artistry of sushi, but also push the boundaries, offering guests a fresh, innovative take on the omakase tradition.

Jeff & Yenny Tsao are the visionaries behind Columbus’ renowned culinary establishments, HARU Omakase and Fukuryu Ramen. Together, they have redefined the local dining experience, seamlessly merging the artistry of traditional Japanese cuisine with a contemporary flair.Jeff Tsao, a Columbus native and graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, brings a rich culinary heritage and a passion for innovation to their ventures. With deep roots in the local dining scene, Jeff’s family legacy includes the renowned Kahiki Supper Club, where he first discovered his love for blending authentic flavors with a modern twist.
Yenny Tsao is the co-founder of Meanie Konbini, Columbus’ premier onigiri brand. Through this venture, Yenny has introduced authentic Japanese rice balls to local grocery stores, combining the flavors of tradition with a modern, accessible twist. Her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to enriching the local food scene continue to inspire and connect with the community.
Together, Jeff and Yenny are pioneers in their field, pushing the boundaries of Japanese cuisine and creating a lasting impact on Columbus’ culinary landscape.

As the Creative Visionary behind our omakase restaurant, Jason Lam brings a dynamic blend of design and cultural creativity to the table. Based in Columbus, Ohio, Jason is known for pushing the boundaries of traditional Japanese dining, offering innovative and contemporary twists to beloved classics.A graduate of The Ohio State University, Jason also serves as the Creative Director at Fukuryu Ramen, where he has helped shape the restaurant's bold and authentic identity. He is also the creator of Milky Way Matcha Bar, a brand celebrated for its imaginative take on matcha-based beverages and street treats.
In his role at our omakase restaurant, Jason brings together his passion for tradition and a keen eye for modern design trends to craft an unforgettable ambiance. His thoughtful approach to the restaurant’s design ensures that each guest enjoys a dining experience that seamlessly blends the timeless with the contemporary, leaving a lasting impression.
